Just saw Mitt on Netflix. The film follows around Mitt Romney during the 2008 and 2012 Presidential runs. Have to say it was a little lame.
The first part, about the 2008 race, was the most interesting part. Coverage of Romney’s 2012 bid doesn’t even look at the GOP primary, which was far more interesting than the general election, and instead only looks at Romney post convention.
After a while the family does start to become a little annoying. Aside from the one son who obviously doesn’t his dad to run the rest of the family are blind cheerleaders. I know most people would be the same way if their dad ran the White House, but watching it for 90 minutes gets a little boring after a while.
Frankly Ann Romney comes off as a modern day Marie Antoinette. Yes she has MS, but does she need a new designer outfit for every scene?
If you have the time and want to learn about the 2012 GOP primary race I would check out Caucus and leave Mitt alone.
