Ricker Trying to Unring a Bell

Rick Perry ran a crappy campaign 2012.  Against a weak field the Ricker came in as the governor of a big state with solid conservative record and ended up coming in fifth in Iowa and being most remembered for:

So why is he trying to run again?  By going to states like California and telling them how much better the economy, thanks to his tax policy in case you asked, is in Texas compared to their state, Perry’s pitching himself as the man who can get the job done in D.C..

Does he think anyone is really listening?  The guy left a bad taste with many conservatives.  Considering how much tougher the field is does Perry think he is really going to get a second chance?
