Rand Paul is letting everyone know he won a straw poll in Michigan this weekend. When the votes were tallied it broke down with Paul at 36 percent, Chris Christie, at 18 percent, followed by former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush at 8 percent and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz at 7 percent each.
Paul, Jindal and Walker all spoke at the conference. Considering that Christie, Cruz and Bush did not this doesn’t seem like a big deal. Also added in is the fact that we don’t know when Michigan will go in the primary calendar.
Rand Paul’s dad was really good at winning straw polls as well. He was never able to translate it into winning any states during the primary campaign. Will RonPaul Jr. be able to reverse his dad’s luck.
