A new poll from Roanoke College of 525 registered voters finds Republican Ken Cuccinelli leads Democrat Terry McAuliffe 37-31. What’s interesting is that although Cuccinelli leads he only get 37% which is around what he received in the Public Policy Polling survey that was released yesterday. It seems to verify the belief that Cuccinelli has strong but limited support – basically he has X level of support and that is going to turnout no matter what but that is all he’s going to get.
The real question in Virginia is how many voters can McAuliffe and turnout. If he can mobilize more people than expected he’ll win, if he can’t it’s Governor Cuccinelli.
