Apparently the conservative movement’s Immovable Object (Rush Limbaugh) is unhappy with the GOP’s Irresistible Force (FOX News). Limbaugh told a caller who was unhappy with the lack of outrage from the right over President Barack Obama’s policies and the liberal war on coal. The Immovable Object said the decision to have someone on who was questioning our use of coal was designed to “make you question your sanity.”
If the caller continued to watch people like the guest he disagreed with Limbaugh said, “Your blood pressure is gonna suffer if you keep watching these people. I mean, they’re designed to get you ticked off. They’re designed to make you question your sanity. You’re gonna watch these people, you’re gonna say, ‘How in the world can we have such idiotic people?’ and you’re gonna think maybe they’re not and you’re crazy.”
So if a news network has people on you don’t agree with just turn them off. If your plan in life is to never have your point of view questioned that is good advice. Of course if you believe in the strength of your ideas you can listen to people who oppose you. Did any conservatives ever do that, oh maybe William F. Buckley. Here’s some Buckley from back in the day:
Buckley even dared to talk to Saul Alinsky. Go figure.
